Information stored locally

The app stores decks, cards, attached media, review history, study progress, preferences, and local recovery snapshots on your device. It does not require an account or provide developer-operated cloud sync.

Internet connections

The app downloads only the optional premade decks you choose from this site. It does not upload your personal decks, cards, media, or study history to this host. If you choose an AI provider through the AI Deck Maker, any material you submit is handled by that provider under its own privacy terms and your account settings.

No tracking or advertising

Erudite does not include advertising or tracking SDKs and does not collect your card content, deck names, or study activity for the developer. Local performance diagnostics intentionally omit card content.

Purchases

If you buy Erudite Pro, Google Play handles the payment. RevenueCat, a service provider that confirms purchases for the developer, receives the purchase receipt and a random app user ID so Pro works on your devices. Neither receives your cards or study history.

Security and retention

App data stays in Android's private app storage and network requests use HTTPS. Local data remains until you delete it, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. If Android backup is turned on for your Google account, Android may include Erudite's study database (decks, review history, and settings, but not attached images or other media) in your device backup so it can be restored on reinstall or when you move to a new phone. That backup is created and stored by Android under your Google account, not sent to Erudite, and you can turn it off in your device's backup settings. Exported backups remain wherever you save or share them until you delete them and should be protected like any other study document.

The premade-deck host may receive standard request information such as an IP address, browser or app user agent, and request time for delivery, security, and abuse prevention. Erudite does not send card content or study history with those requests and does not maintain a separate user-profile database from them. External AI providers retain data according to their own terms and your account settings.

Your choices

You can export a backup from the app. Exports are written to the Erudite backup folder in your device Documents storage and remain under your control. You can delete all local Erudite data from the More tab in the app; delete exported files separately from your Files app when no longer needed.
